About The Watercolor Nest
Hi, I’m Robyn, the watercolor artist behind The Watercolor Nest. I started painting as a way to slow down and find calm in the middle of a busy, detail-oriented life. What began as a personal creative outlet soon turned into something I wanted to share—the joy and peace of watercolor captured in forms that people can use and treasure every day.
Inspired by Nature & the Coast of Maine
Living in Maine, I’m surrounded by endless inspiration—pine forests, blueberry fields, seaside villages, and star-filled skies. These details often flow into my work, whether it’s a whimsical sandpiper, a bright blueberry, or a moody coastal sky. Each piece is a reflection of the natural world and the quiet moments it offers.
Functional Art for Everyday Life
At The Watercolor Nest, I create what I like to call “functional art.” That means cards that can be framed, earrings carrying tiny hand-painted scenes, cozy apparel printed with original artwork, and even recycled paper notebooks made from my studio scraps. My goal is to make art part of your everyday life—whether you’re sending a thoughtful card, wearing a piece of jewelry, or decorating your space. It’s about turning small, meaningful details into the things that make your house (or nest) truly feel like home.
Values That Matter
Sustainability and intention are at the heart of my process. I reuse watercolor scraps to create handmade paper, choose eco-friendly packaging whenever possible, and paint each design with care. My hope is that each piece carries both creativity and connection, adding something lasting and personal to daily life.
A Creative Nest to Share
For me, The Watercolor Nest is more than a shop—it’s a place to gather little moments of beauty, calm, and connection. I’m so glad you’re here, and I hope my work adds a touch of warmth, joy, and inspiration to your own nest.
